Lodging for the Wedding
Hello Everyone!
So… the bad news is that the weekend of our wedding (September 13, 2008 in case you forgot!) there is a big boat show! (I suppose that is good if you want to look at boats). The reason it is bad is because there are more people vying for lodging and this means that all the hotels and innkeepers think they can gouge everyone and require a 3-day minimum and charge too much $$$/night for a room.
The good news is that I just I stumbled upon a GREAT site where people can rent homes/condos for pretty darn cheap (at least by Newport standards!)
Some of these places are rented by the day or bythe week. They seem to sleep anywhere from 4-10 people and they have some great amenities. Many allow pets and children, have laundry and are REALLY accessible to things. In some cases it works out to be on average $300/person/week. A pretty good deal.
